The Laboratory is undertaking three priority research programs covering source reduction, process purification and pollution control, and environmentally sound treatment and resource utilization of phosphogypsum. These programs provide essential technological support for the comprehensive utilization of all phosphogypsum generated.
1. New highly selective phosphate ore flotation reagent and new process for efficient composite separation of medium and low grade siliceous calcium colloidal phosphate ore.
2. Field enhanced slurry extraction impurity separation technology and equipment.
3. Key technologies and equipment for treating phosphorus-containing wastewater in the phosphogypsum reservoir area.
4. Efficient and harmless treatment technology of phosphogypsum.
5. New technology for preparing high-purity calcium sulfate from phosphogypsum leaching and thermal precipitation.
6. Preparation technology for water-stable layer materials with large content of phosphogypsum.
